Auto AI Diagnostics collects the following information to provide our diagnostic services: • Account information: email address and display name when you create an account • Vehicle diagnostic data: fault codes, sensor readings, freeze frame data, and VIN numbers retrieved from your vehicle during scans • Scan history: saved diagnostic reports stored to your account in Firebase Firestore • Device information: device type and operating system for compatibility and crash reporting
2. How We Use Your Data
• To perform AI-assisted vehicle diagnostics using OpenAI's API • To save and display your scan history • To send account-related emails (password resets, verification) • To improve app performance and fix bugs through crash reports
3. AI & Third-Party Services
This app uses OpenAI's ChatGPT API to generate diagnostic analysis. Vehicle data including fault codes and sensor readings are sent to OpenAI's servers for processing. OpenAI's privacy policy applies to this data. We also use Google Firebase for authentication, database storage, and cloud functions.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore, protected by Firebase security rules that restrict access to your account only. We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties beyond the services described above.
5. Bluetooth & Device Permissions
The app requires Bluetooth access to communicate with your diagnostic adapter. Bluetooth data is processed locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
6. Children's Privacy
Auto AI Diagnostics is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
8. Delete My Account
You have the right to permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time. To delete your account: • Open the app and go to Settings → Account → Delete Account • Alternatively, email us at support@autoaidiagnostics.com with the subject line "Delete My Account" Upon deletion, the following data will be permanently removed: • Your account credentials and profile information • All saved diagnostic scan history • All vehicle data associated with your account Account deletion is processed within 30 days of your request. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
