Do I need any special equipment?
Just a standard Bluetooth OBD2 adapter, which plugs into the port under your dashboard. No proprietary hardware — if you already own an adapter, it almost certainly works. Not sure which to buy? See the adapters we use at the shop.
Will this work on my car?
Auto AI Diagnostics works with the vast majority of gas cars and light trucks sold in the U.S. from 1996 onward — including older pre-2008 vehicles that use K-line diagnostics, and European models like BMW and Mercedes. BMW owners also get per-module deep scanning (DME, DSC, EGS, CAS and more).
Can it clear my check-engine light?
Yes. After you've reviewed the diagnosis, you can clear stored codes right from the app. If the underlying problem isn't fixed, the light may come back — and the app will tell you why.
